How it works
Stockwise watches for inventory changes on each connected store and pushes updates to the others the moment something changes, whether that's a sale, a manual edit, or a restock. Products are matched automatically by SKU, so once your stores are connected, there's nothing to configure manually for most catalogs.
Open Connected Stores
From your Stockwise dashboard on your main store, go to the Connected Stores page.
Click "Connect a store"
Enter the domain of the additional Shopify store you want to sync inventory with (e.g. your-other-store.myshopify.com).
Approve access on that store
You'll be taken to that store's Shopify admin to approve a permission grant. This isn't a separate app install or a second subscription, just a quick approval so Stockwise can read and update inventory there.
Matching happens automatically
Stockwise scans both stores' catalogs and links any products that share the same SKU. From that point on, a stock change on either store updates the other in real time.
You can connect as many additional stores as you need. Every store beyond your primary one connects at no extra cost, on the same subscription.
Frequently asked questions
Does connecting additional stores cost extra?
No. You subscribe once on your primary store, and every additional connected store syncs at no extra charge. There's no second install and no separate billing relationship to manage.
Do I need to install Stockwise on my other stores?
No. Connecting a store is a one-time permission grant, not a separate app install. Your other stores don't get their own Stockwise dashboard, they're just kept in sync from your primary store's account.
How does Stockwise know which products match across stores?
By SKU. If the same SKU exists on two connected stores, Stockwise treats them as the same physical item and keeps their stock levels in sync automatically. If your SKUs are already consistent across stores, which is normal for most multi-store sellers, no manual setup is needed.
What if a product doesn't have a SKU, or the SKUs don't match?
Products without a SKU, or with different SKUs on each store, won't be automatically linked. Reach out and we can help you get matching set up for those items.
Is the sync real-time?
Yes. Stockwise listens for inventory changes as they happen, whether from a sale, a manual edit, or anything else that changes stock, and pushes the update to your other connected stores within seconds.
How many stores can I connect?
There's no hard limit. Connect as many additional Shopify stores as your business runs.
Can I disconnect a store later?
Yes, at any time, from the Connected Stores page. Disconnecting stops the sync immediately and doesn't affect your existing inventory data.
