How does the forecasting actually work?
Stockwise tracks your real sales velocity per product, then combines it with your lead time and a safety stock buffer you set to calculate exactly how many units to reorder and by when. It is not a static rule, it updates as your sales trend changes.
What if a product has no sales history yet?
New products need some sales data before a reliable forecast can be generated. Until then, Stockwise shows the product as "no data" rather than guessing.
Do purchase orders get sent automatically?
Stockwise drafts the purchase order from your forecast automatically, so it is ready to review and send with one click. You stay in control of what actually goes to your supplier.
What happens when I receive a purchase order?
Mark it received in Stockwise and your Shopify inventory updates automatically to reflect the new stock. No manual recount needed.
Multi-store
Can I connect more than one Shopify store?
Yes. Connect any number of additional Shopify stores and Stockwise keeps their inventory in sync automatically by matching SKUs, at no extra charge per store. See the full guide for how it works.
Does connecting a store cost extra?
No. You subscribe once on your primary store. Every additional connected store syncs on the same subscription.
Data and setup
Do I need Shopify POS to use this?
No. Stockwise works from your Shopify order data directly. If you also sell in person or offline, you can import that data as a CSV so your forecast reflects everywhere you sell.
How long does setup take?
A few minutes. Install the app, and Stockwise pulls in your existing order history to start forecasting right away.
